Conradie Park, Pinelands, Cape Town – Aerial View with Table Mountain

Conradie Park is a major 22-hectare mixed-use development in Pinelands, Cape Town, being developed on the former Conradie Hospital site. The Conradie Park Better Living Model is a public-private partnership between the Western Cape Government and Concor, designed to create an integrated neighbourhood combining affordable and open-market housing with retail, schools, sports facilities, community amenities and extensive public open space. The completed development is planned to provide more than 3,500 residential units.

This aerial photograph, captured during the early construction phase, shows the extensive earthworks and emerging road network across the former hospital site. The masterplan by dhk establishes a pedestrian-oriented urban neighbourhood structured around streets, squares, landscaped courtyards and the linear Grande Park alongside the Elsieskraal Canal. Heritage structures from the former Conradie Hospital precinct were retained and incorporated into the redevelopment.

The wider view provides an excellent perspective of Cape Town’s northern suburbs, with Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and the Cape Town cityscape forming the dramatic backdrop. Immediately beyond the development is Old Mutual’s Mutual Park, one of the area’s most significant office campuses. Mutual Park was established in the 1950s and expanded in the 1960s after Old Mutual moved its Cape Town operations from the CBD.
