The building was substantially redeveloped for the Public Investment Corporation (PIC), with the refurbishment introducing a contemporary façade, a double-volume entrance atrium, upgraded building services, a complete interior fit-out and a new parking deck. The architectural design was undertaken by Paragon Architects, with the redevelopment completed in 2016. Trencon Construction was responsible for the construction works, with the project valued at approximately R95 million.
The completed building presents a contemporary commercial architectural expression, combining extensive glazing, curved façades and a prominent entrance atrium. Today, 72 Grayston Drive remains an A-grade office property within the Sandton business district.
