Standard Bank Office Building 33 Baker Street, Rosebank, Johannesburg

33 Baker Street is a prominent commercial office building in Rosebank, Johannesburg, located opposite Rosebank Mall. The building was substantially rejuvenated with a contemporary architectural treatment, replacing its outdated façade and pitched roof with a modern curtain-wall and steel-framed façade system. The redevelopment transformed the existing structure into a distinctive commercial landmark while retaining its underlying concrete frame.

Designed by SVA International, the project was commissioned by Redefine and the Sasol Pension Fund. The redevelopment incorporated extensive glazing, horizontal architectural detailing and a new concealed roof, giving the building a clean, modern corporate identity. Today, 33 Baker Street is associated with Standard Bank and accommodates a range of corporate and professional workplaces.
