The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is one of Nairobi’s most recognisable architectural landmarks and an important symbol of Kenya’s post-independence development. Located on Harambee Avenue in Nairobi’s Central Business District, the complex was commissioned in the 1960s and officially opened in September 1973. It was developed as a major international conference and government facility and quickly became an important centre for meetings, conferences and international events.
