This aerial photograph captures the Deloitte Africa Headquarters in Waterfall City, Midrand, Gauteng. The distinctive contemporary office building occupies a prominent position near the Allandale Interchange, with the N1 highway network visible to the left and the Mall of Africa and wider Waterfall City development visible in the surrounding landscape.
The 42,500 m² headquarters was developed as a purpose-built consolidation of Deloitte’s Johannesburg and Pretoria offices, bringing approximately 3,700 employees together in a single facility. The building comprises a ground floor and six office levels, supported by four basement parking levels providing almost 2,000 parking bays. Deloitte began operating from the new headquarters in April 2020.
Designed around Deloitte’s modern workplace principles, the building incorporates large open-plan floorplates and a central multi-volume atrium. The interior concept uses Deloitte’s corporate colours as a strong wayfinding and identity element, while flexible workspaces, collaboration areas and lifestyle facilities support a more integrated working environment. The building was designed as a smart and sustainable workplace and achieved LEED Silver certification.
The headquarters forms part of the rapidly developing Waterfall City CBD, a major mixed-use development between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Its location provides direct access to the N1 and surrounding arterial network, while placing Deloitte within close proximity to the Mall of Africa and other major commercial developments in Waterfall City.
