The building reflects the civic architecture of the late Victorian and early Edwardian period, combining a strongly symmetrical classical composition with restrained Renaissance Revival influences. Its principal façade is organised around a prominent central projecting section crowned by a triangular pediment. A decorative circular motif and the date “1906” occupy the upper centre of the composition, providing a clear architectural reference to the building’s construction. The façade is finished in warm ochre and cream tones, with contrasting white architectural detailing defining the corners, window surrounds, pilasters, cornices and entrance elements. A broad balcony with a balustrade extends across the first floor, while the ground-floor entrance is framed by classical columns and a projecting canopy. The combination of columns, pilasters, mouldings, balustrades and pediment gives the building the formal civic presence expected of a municipal headquarters of its era.
