Newlands Rugby stadium (left) has a capacity of 51 900 people, is the oldest rugby stadium in South Africa and the second-oldest rugby stadium in the world.
Newlands Cricket Ground (right) has a capacity of 25 000 people and was built in 1888 in Newlands and it hosted its first Test match in 1889.
