Kenilworth Race Course and Conservation Area
The Kenilworth Racecourse is a left handed horse racing track, has three separate tracks and it is the oldest race course in South Africa. The Conservation Area is an area of about 50 ha situated in the middle of Kenilworth Racecourse. “The Most Valuable Piece of Cape Flats Sand Fynbos Remaining! No other single urban, natural vegetation remnant on our planet comes close in terms of sheer plant species numbers, relative to physical area”.
This area is regarded as the best example of Cape Flats Sand Fynbos remaining in the Cape Peninsula.
