Officially opened in 2022, the hotel has become a defining feature of the Umhlanga skyline with its sleek glazed façade, flowing curved profile, and uninterrupted views over the Indian Ocean. Its location directly above Oceans Mall creates a seamless integration of luxury accommodation, premium retail, dining, and entertainment within one landmark destination.
Architecturally, the building embraces modern coastal design principles inspired by the movement of the ocean. The tower’s elegant curved form, reflective glass curtain wall, and minimalist detailing allow it to interact with changing daylight while complementing the surrounding beachfront environment. The development was carefully planned to maximise ocean views, natural daylight, and coastal breezes while creating an iconic gateway building for Umhlanga. Today, it stands as one of South Africa’s premier luxury hospitality destinations and a prominent example of modern mixed-use urban development.
